I managed this race better than any I have raced in before, managed my nutrition well, and stayed within myself effort-wise. I am (slowly) learning the tricks to this endurance stuff and hopefully will continue to improve.

Just a guy, doin my deal. An early 40-something trying to live like a late 20-something! Riding bikes, drinking coffee, working to preserve wild places and open spaces, living a healthy and vibrant lifestyle and supporting my loved ones. Occasionally cast a fly in a wild stream, or lobby our representatives to save those rivers, or strapping on a number plate and racing against good people for a hundred miles on a mountain bike. Or maybe, just hang out a home in a lawn chair with a cold one and admire and enjoy our house and landscaping. Its all good!
